Hazrat Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani states that Hazrat Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Allah be pleased with him) holds the highest rank (afzal) after the Prophets (peace be upon them all), not only within this ummah but across all previous ummahs as well. Hazrat Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani affirms that this has always been his aqeeda and will remain his firm belief.
